We don’t move everything at once. The estate is grouped into waves by business area and dependency. Each wave is translated, regenerated, tested and cut over on its own, so users move in manageable groups and early waves shape the later ones.
Changes made on the source during the migration are picked up by a re-scan and carried into the specifications, so there’s no long development freeze.
